Many people have felt throughout the years, that
one of the peak experiences of Shambala has been
in the kitchen!
We have chosen to have an open and warm feeling
in the kitchen where food is prepared amidst
singing songs, laughter and creativity that comes
from the navel and the heart.
On the menu selection process we inspire ourselves
in the Ayurvedic tradition of food preparation
and proper food combination.
Our vegetarian cuisine uses mainly organic products,
biodynamic where possible and locally produced
vegetables and honey. It´s easy to enjoy Shambala´s
menu even when being a vegan. We minimise the use
of any animal products as well as wheat and gluten.
Shopping at our friend Detlev´s gardens is a joy,
seeing him walking around bare foot, pulling up
the carrots!
We have a small garden at the center where we
focus mainly on salads, herbs and root vegetables.
The local boutique Konsum has been transformed
over the years that we have been running
Shambala in Skinnskatteberg. We have threaten
to shop elsewhere if they don´t take in more organic
produce and they have surrendered to our demands...
Luckily for us, this means a lovingly prepared
menu including Lena´s signature desserts and
homemade twisted baguettes!
