Have you ever asked: How can I move better? Why is my hips clicking? Why do I feel stiff when I stretch every day? Is a back bend supposed to feel good?
Then this is the yoga retreat for you! It’s a weekend for everyone who wants to know their body better. For them, who wants to explore mobility, functional movements and understand the relationship between every part of the body. We will get a deeper understanding of what we are actually doing when we move –and live.
By exploring our bodies fully potential -and restrictions, we will find ways to move better with more ease and less discomfort. We will inquire together and maybe end up having more questions than before, which is a good sign that we can learn more -THE VERY CORE OF YOGA.
All levels are welcome -all that is needed is an open mind and the wish to learn about the possibilities within yoga and movement.
A THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
Through body scanning, joint articulation, partner work, movement on and off the mat, we will recognize our habitual movement patterns, re-learn and bring out the strength that everyone has within. With a therapeutic approach, we will find new ways to move in the practice, so that the whole body supports the whole body. During the weekend we will explore the relationship between the core, back, pelvis and everything around. The practice will be both flow and detailed based.

TEACHER’S BIO

OLIVIA BERGGREN
Olivia has over 10 years’ experience from practicing and teaching yoga. She is well oriented in anatomy and physiology and always aim to teach and practice aligned with the body’s capacity. She believes that you cannot separate the mind from the body, and a healthy mind must start with a kind movement practice. For Olivia, the yoga practice is a tool for self-inquiring, a space where you can play, explore and getting more connected to yourself and others. Her approach to yoga is non dogmatic and takes place in what is right now. “Less is more” is what best describes her practice and teaching. She lives in Västerås where she teaches open classes and 1:1 at Utopia Yogastudios. She also studies Physical Therapy.
“Olivia is a fantastic yogateacher. It has been such a pleasant, aesthetic and inspiring experience to be guided by Olivia. She is dedicated and very capable. With Olivia as my teacher, my appetite for Yoga is growing every day. I’m getting stronger and more flexible in mind and body –it is truly I gift to my life.“ – Pia Wiberg, Copenhagen
